Robux to USD Calculator

Converting Robux into dollars only works in one direction — through the Developer Exchange programme, and only for Earned Robux. This tool does that conversion at the current official rates.

Earned Robux is not the same as Robux

This is the part most "Robux to USD" pages leave out, and it decides whether the calculation applies to you at all. Roblox distinguishes between Robux you earned on the platform and Robux that merely sit in your balance:

So a wallet full of Robux is not the same thing as a wallet full of Earned Robux. If the balance came from purchases or trades, no exchange rate applies — the conversion is simply not available.

The three DevEx rates

Roblox publishes a standard rate and one conditionally higher rate, and it keeps the old rate for balances held before a specific cut-off:

RateApplies to30,000 R$100,000 R$
0.0038Standard — all Earned Robux from 5 Sep 2025$114$380
0.0054In eligible games, purchases by US players verified 18+$162$540
0.0035Earned Robux held before 5 Sep 2025, 10am PT$105$350

The higher rate is not a loyalty bonus you can choose. It applies to specific purchases — developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers — made by players who are in the United States and who have verified through facial age estimation or government ID that they are at least 18. Robux from those sales is paid at 0.0054; the rest of your balance is paid at 0.0038. Both appear in the same cash-out, at their own rates.

Eligibility, before the maths even matters

The Developer Exchange programme has hard requirements. You need to:

Below 30,000 Earned Robux, the correct answer to "how much is this worth in dollars" is: nothing yet, because it cannot be converted until the threshold is met.

Why the number looks low

A player buying Robux at the store pays a retail price. A creator cashing out Earned Robux receives a payout. These are two sides of the platform's economics, not two quotes for the same thing, and the gap between them is wide — which is why the same pile of Robux can feel so much more valuable in your head than it proves to be on the payout side.

If you are trying to work out how much of a sale you keep before it reaches DevEx, do that first: the Roblox tax calculator handles what the platform takes, by sales scenario, and then you can feed the remainder into this page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell Robux to another player for money?

No. Roblox has no peer-to-peer cash-out, and trading Robux outside the platform breaches its terms. Anyone offering to buy your Robux for cash is either breaking the rules or trying to take the account. The Developer Exchange programme is the only official path from Robux to money.

Do I pick the 0.0054 rate, or does Roblox?

Roblox decides, per sale. The higher rate attaches to qualifying purchases made by US players who have verified they are 18 or over through facial age estimation or government ID, in eligible games. You cannot elect it for other earnings.

How much is 1 million Robux in dollars?

At the standard rate, 1,000,000 Earned Robux is $3,800. At the 0.0054 rate it would be $5,400 — but only the qualifying portion of a balance earns the higher rate.

Does the value change over time?

The rate has changed before: balances held before 5 September 2025 at 10am PT cash out at the older 0.0035 rate, and the standard rate rose to 0.0038 for Earned Robux from that point. Treat the rates on this page as current-but-not-permanent and check the official page before acting on a large number.
